Ac Issues....

[Stl05Silverado]

I have a 05 silverado 5.3 4X4 with the dual climate control. All of a sudden then ac is screwing up. Well for one it wont blow air out on high anymore like it use to, it wont kick up when you hit the recircilation button, the blower doesnt shut off when you shut the truck off, but sometimes the ac works just fine like nothing is wrong. Is there like a resistor or something that could be bad? I would like to fix it myself if at all possible, and how much you think it will cost??

I'm not having this exact problem but do have something similar happening. I posted on another site, before I found this one , and received the below response. I haven't tried it, yet, but was going to give it a shot this weekend. I'm not sure which AC fuse he removed because it looks like there's a couple of them. I'll probably just try the battery part first. Let me know if you give it a try.

"I removed the AC fuse in the engine compartment and disconnected both battery terminals. I then waited 5 min and reconnected battery and installed fuse. I then put the key switch to the on position and turned the ac to the off position. I started the truck and set it to auto and within 15 sec i had AC on the driver side. Its worth a shot before going to the dealer. "
