Stock Wheels

can i put 285/70/17 tires on the stock wheels, on my 2006 gmc 1500 crew cab z-71, and have enough clearance. does my truck have torison bars? if so should they be turned up? thanks........ed

285s will work on stock wheels but the sidewalls will be pulled in a little since the wheel isn't "technically" wide enough... Many have done so with success. If you crank the t bars, they shouldn't rub much.

I have been told 285's will not rub even if you leave the t-bars stock! I will be getting them before winter so i will know more then.
