You guys notice that in the new Motor Trend? It was only slower by .06 seconds.....the cars were driven by jeff probst.

 

the MR weighed over 3600 pounds with a tad over 300HP, the C-SS turbo weighed in just under 3000 with 260 HP. Given the MR's race and road cred, that is a HUGE outcome for GM. Better tires, one bad shift , so many small things could have made up the tiny difference.

 

the thing get's close to 30 MPG, and with a small mod or two would be about as capable as a C4.

Can this thing actually get traction unlike the first round of Cobalt SS's? Had a co-worker that had a stage 2 SS and it would burn pavement through 2nd gear if he goosed it off of a dead stop.

Nah, the cobalt will be replaced with the "cruze". Check out (sorry Zane and Josh) Toyotanation.com some guys have posted a boatload of data on it, it looks like a legit , quality, small car. 1.4 or 1.6L turbo 4, around 160HP and 40 MPG.

Colbalt SS's can be made into little monsters...So can those SRT-4's. I work with a guy with an SRT-4 Caliber and the dude runs mid-13's...He's not put crap for money in that car either...Just some simple stuff.

Same goes for the SRT-4 Neon. It's fast, handles well, but it's still a ugly ass Neon.
