Just curious as to what you'd prefer, not necessarily what you own right now.

Well, I voted for the Duramax because it obviously has the most potential for power of the bunch, and will more then likely be the most durable.  It still isn't completely proven in my mind though, got to give it 3-4 more years.

You have to admit though, if you wanted a truck for great unloaded mileage, its almost impossible to beat a 6.2.  Get an older C10 or 20 with some high rear gears and get yourself 25 mpg cruising down the road.  :)

The Duramax is GMs only diesel offering that is even worth mentioning in the company of the Powerstroke and Cummins.  The 6.2L was a mileage motor, not a work motor.  6.5L was not in the same league as the others from the big three, out horsed and out mileged from what I've seen.

Maybe the D-max will bring back the many many diesel loving buyers that went elsewhere to find a real diesel motor.

Our 97 chevy crewcab daully horse truck just crossed the 150,000 mark with no major problems It has the 6.5 turbodiesel with the banks kit and it gets along great.  This is the second 6.5 powered vehicle that we owned and they both operate superbly! :D  :(
