my rear tires are getting slick already and was looking for some new ones. i was looking at nittos tire NT420s or something like that. does it give good grip or better grip than regular all season tires. they are for my 22s. i dont care about tread life or road noise, all i care about is grip.

Nitto 555R. Their drag radials. Their the longest lasting (hard rubber compound) drag radials I know of. Might last 10K miles.

i searched for those in size 22 but i couldnt find none. found some for stock 17s but like a dumbass i got rid of my stock 17s. i could get them for stock 16s, think they will apply enough weight to the tire?

They make them up to 20" wheels last I checked.

 I'm confused. Do I think what will apply enough weight to the tire? If the road is dry these tires will hook with proper air pressure. It isn't like winter and putting weight in the bed...if that's what your asking.

sorry bout that. i know the weight of the truck will apply enough weight for the tires to hook, just realized that. i thought the stock 16s were gonna be light and the tires werent gonna hook well. totally forgot about the truck weight. will they be easy to do burnout with?

Its a drag radial man, it will hook without weight. Its a sticky rubber compound that hooks better than any regular street tire. You will still be able to do a burn out, but I'd only do that if your about to race to clean the tires. Really their made to be a D.O.T approved street legal tire you can drive on to the drag strip and race on.

here's my TBSS on the 20" Nittos during a test for Super Chevy Magazine (testing the DR's, should be in the next mag)

they hook on the street alot better than on the track, meaning like previously stated, they will last if you drive on them. they are geared for extra "street" traction not like MT ET Streets which will wear fast but hook like hell .

I was running 15-18 psi and they were a little lose, couldn't go WOT until 60' out and off the spray at least that far..

I have the 22" nitto 420-S on my truck and they are great the ride is nice. They grip like crazy on asphalt. They are very good on the wet roads as well. I have not had them on snow or ice yet hopefully i have my winter tires on before it get nasty out. lol Overall i would give them a 10.

Am i gonna get alot of milage fromt he NT420s? I need to replace my yokahoma spec x tires and was thinking of the Nittos cause i can get a really good deal on them. 285-40-22 for $129 a piece. I got 40,000+ on my Yokes now. I figure another couple thousand and i will need somemore tires.
