Transmission filter seal...

I just recently changed the trans fluid and filter on my S-10 Blazer.  There is a small seal for the filter tube that is a real pain to remove.

 

I ended up opting to not replace it because I did not want to damage the aluminum housing.  The seal still felt good and soft so I should be ok.

 

I'm wondering what tool(s) works best for removing this little bugger?

I use a little scribe with a 90* bend on the end.  I've seen several types sold in hardware/tool stores.

Yeah, we've got a perfect tool here at work.  If I only knew what exactly I needed beforehand.
