6" Lift

Alright i AM doing:

Rancho

3" Front - 1.5" Rear, (they appear to be just blocks in the back so i will have a total of 7 1/2" of lift on back and 6" on front, just like my old truck)

Price - $550

Performance Accesorys

3" Body Lift and im making my own brackets to raise the back bumber like i did on my old truck.

Price - $200

but my question, what offest should i get on the rims? i liked how my old truck was, i think it had like a 4" offset or whatever, but i really like they way they looked. here is a pic of my old truck maybe somebody can help me find the offset. i am also going with 35x11.5x16 tires (i hated how much old truck slipped and never got any traction with the wide tires) i am getting Wildcats i belive they are made by Cooper?, anyways they are 125$ a tire and have a 50,000 mile warranty.

this is the only pic i could find of a front view.

1 more question, on my old truck i had a 3" body lift and around corners the box or cab i couldnt tell would sway a little bit maybe a 1/2" .. so i was wondering should i go with a 2" as that would probably not sway as much?

i like how my old truck was and i want this one to be the same, plus when i lift it i was going to fix everything while i had it apart, like the front diff leak and stuff since everything will be apart.

I thought you were going to keep this on close to stock because of gas milage!! I knew that wasn't going to last long!!!

If you current truck has a towing package the body life is going to leave a huge gap between the hitch and the bumper or if you dont raise the rear bumper there will be a huge gad between the rear bumper and the bed...

Also if you have step bars there will be a gap there too..

Fix the front end and all the other problems first... With your torsion bars turned up and then adding a lift you will go through through front end bushings, pitman and idler arms like crazy!

no that is why im buying the rancho kit, it actually lifts the front end other than cranking the keys.. it drops the diff and everything.

and about that gap i think i will go with 2" since i have step bars it will kind of hide the frame a little bit.

and about the hitch, right now its all completly hidden other than spot for the reciever. so if i go 2 inch it will just look like one of the hitches that isnt hidden.

Yeah but you bitched about the gas mileage all the time. Use you head.

Dan, Dan, Dan......lest you forget, he has the superduper HHO system, so he doesn't have to worry about gas mileage. :spam:

And Brian.....oh, nevermind.... :dunno:

Why don't you just get the Rancho kit and leave the BL off? That or get a 6" lift and do it right.

My real suggestion is to stop sinking money like that into an old truck and start saving up a down payment for a home or a newer, more reliable vehicle. Believe it or not, those are the things a kid your age should be doing, not lifting perfectly good trucks for no good reason.
