Factory Rear Block Size?

Does anyone know what the rear factory block size is on the GMT900 4X4's? Looks like it's 1.5" but just want to make sure.

 

Also, does anyone know what size the u-bolts are?

I'm pretty sure it's 1.25". I know it's larger than 1".

When I took mine out, it measured 1 inch. However there is an over hang on the front and back of the block.....which when its installed on your truck it looks decieving, if you measure it from the side its 1 inch.

Huh, I stand corrected then. Multiple people I talked to said it was 1.25", but I guess they were wrong.

On this same topic...I have noticed that a couple of you went with the Fab Tech 1" lift blocks to go along with the RC leveling kit. I have an 08 Sierra with the All Terrain package. Will the 1" block work with the stock Ranchos? Also what size U bolts will I need? Any good online suppliers?

With only 1 inch blocks you should be okay with youre stock ranchos.. it may be a little stiffer but should be alright.. Go to autozone and get blocks/u bolts.

Anyone know the diameter of the u-bolts? Looks like it's either 9/16 or 5/8, not sure though. The width is 2 1/2", right?

2.5" wide.

 

The OEM ones on my truck were smaller than 5/8" (probably 9/16", but I didn't measure), but I fit a set of 5/8" u-bolts in there just fine (no modifications to the plate on the bottom of the axle at all).

 

That is on a 2000, but I don't see why they would have changed the size of the holes in the plate.
