Handling Question

I put on a new set of Firestone Destination A/T's which are much more aggressive than my presvious tires. Since they have been on it seems I get much more feedback through the steering wheel. Not really vibration and not the clunk. Is this normal for aggressive tires? Never had any before.

All the lugs are tight and I checked tire pressure a few times in last 2 weeks. Thanks for any input.

It will feel a little different with a more aggressive tread pattern. After a month or so of driving, you'll never even notice it. What pressure are you running... what size tire?

Also... all terrain rated tires have a stiffer sidewall than standard S rated tires that probably came on the truck. They will transfer a little more road feel into the cabin. I like that actually.

Thats what I was hoping. Thanks Jim.

Tires are 265/70/17. I had them mounted just on the rims at the tire shop so they set them all atround 40lbs. I drove with them like that for a week or so and the ride was stiff. I let them down to 36 rear and 34 front a few days ago and the ride is much softer.

I had the same tires on my red Jeep. Destination ATs that is. I was really happy with them for the year I had them. (sold the Jeep)
