Gm Headrest Dvd Will It Work With A Gm Nav Unit.

I just bought a 2008 Silverado LTZ Crew Cab with a Bose Stereo/ On Star Without Navigation and I added the GM Head Rest DVD system. Now I would like to add the GM Navigation. My Dealer tells me that the Headrest will not interface with the GM Nav unit. Is this correct? :D I would like to keep the functionality of the features of the truck. If not then what does it mean when the in the radio description says "Compatiable with rear entertainment"?????
