88-98 Rear Weight

need the rear weight for a 88-98 regular cab short bed truck.. setting up coil overs on a buddies truck.. need to know the split. thanks

My guess is about 40% of the weight on the rear wheels - or 20% per rear wheel and 30% per front. This is a pretty normal percentage setup for a truck. Most of the heavy stuff is toward the front of center.

my 98 3/4 ton ext.cab with a 7.4L weights 6500lbs with a full tank and my ass in the seat, was around 45% more on front axle

 

a half ton or truck with a 5.7L will weight less too
