Lewis I take it you bought them? If so I would possibly be interested in the factory ones on your truck if you are going to sell them.

I thought I bought them too. I have transfered the money by PayPal per the seller's instructions but it has not been picked up and I have had no response from the seller in spite of numerous e-mails. I'm not sure what's going on. I'll let you know about the stockers, although there's a guy where I work that has already expressed an interest - sorry! But I'll put you on the list as second in line! Assuming I ever hear from this seller!

Why are you replacing your stockers? Just for the "pocket" style?

I had Bushwacker OEM style flares on my 2000 and they do NOT fit nearly as well as the GM OEMs do. They also use that cheesy plastic trim around the outer perimeter and DO NOT seal well against the fender, thus allowing tons of crap to get behind them with no way to wash it out.

IMO, I would keep your stockers. I was not happy with my aftermarket flares and I will not buy this type ever again. It seems ALL of the aftermarket brands use this same method of mounting. Which really sucks cuz I would like some nice flares on my truck.

OOPS! Miscommunication on my part. Seller has already shipped the flares. Any disrespect on my part toward the seller was certainly unintended.

The Pocket Flares are wider than the stockers, and they form a partial "mud flap" on the bottom that the stock flares do not have. Plus I just like the looks. My stock flares have peeling paint starting from the top inner edge. I need to remove them and get them painted or replace them. So I went with the pocket flares. As for quality of fit, I have a friend who installs these and they get a reasonable fit from them (probably not as good as stock). As for the mounting method, It's my understanding the stockers also bolt into the fender opening edge and use tape everywhere else just like the aftermarket flares. We'll see - I'll report back when it's all done.
