Problem with 1999 GMC Diesel 6.5 liter engine.

Starts up right away but white smoke for about a minute then clears up.

& Ideals good.

But when try to get any RPMs out of it the max is 1200 rpm & starts to push white smoke. Had a shop test for trouble codes they came up with these six codes

( PO126B, PO216B, PO236D, PO238B, P1216D, P1217D ) Not sure were togo or what to replace. I think the Injector pump needs to be replaced. I hoped by scanning for codes it would confirm the injector pump.

Thank you Doc 1953

I have the codes, unfortuately I am not well verse with diesels. One Thing I would check is the coolant and the oil. See if one another have mixed. You may have a bad head gasket.

P0126

Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Stable Operation

P0216

Injection Timing Control Circuit Malfunction

P0236

Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance

P0238

Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit High

P1216

Pedal Position Sensor C Circuit High Input

P1217

Pedal Position Sensor C Circuit Intermittent

Thank you for your reply yes the codes you sent back maches with the ones I got back from the shop. The oil & coolant are both good. I think either the fuel Injector pump or the pmd may be the problem. Causing these codes to come up saying there is a problem with the other sensors or circuits. thank you agian
