6.5 Td Surge

I have a 2000 Chevy 1ton 6.5l td. Sometimes when I put it in reverse and give it a little throttle and then let up it will surge and blow a puff of black smoke out. It does it very intermentitly.

  Have a look at the Diode Dynamic C1R light. It installs in minutes with their wiring harness and is super bright when backing up.   Guys, thank you so much for the help! Dealer called back and is willing to participate $7,000 towards lifter and cam shaft replacement. Basically complete engine rebuild. Our cost will be 5k. These replacement parts will be covered by a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.

  Doesnt take an engineer to read a dipstick. Otherwise the manufacturer would require dealership oil level checks. Not brain surgery either.

  Don’t get hung up over this. No disrespect intended. People have a different opinion of what constitutes using oil. I stated mine.
