Access Lorado Tonneau

I finally got off my ass and bought/installed a Lorado Tonneau cover for the purple pig.

 

I have nothing but good things to say about it. The install was a breeze. It took me about half an hour, and that was with one person and no spring clamps to hold the rails in place while I installed them. Tension adjustment is a piece of cake as well.

 

The next morning after I installed it, I took a trip to New York, through the mountains in Vermont that I've made many times. I normally get 17.0-17.2 MPG on this trip. With the Lorado on, I got 19.2 round trip this time. I wasn't any easier on the go pedal than normal either. I expected an improvement with the tonneau, but wasn't expecting it to be that good. We'll see if it holds up with my normal driving.

 

I didn't get any of the extra weather sealing with the cover, I just put the weather strip on the front of the bed that comes with it, and with the rain we've had the last couple days, the bed is dry as a bone. It hasn't been torrential rain, but it's been pretty steady. I know it's not going to keep the bed perfectly dry all the time, but it'll keep it reasonable in there.

 

I definitely recommend this cover if you're in the market.

I bought an Access Vanish cover a while back. I think I'm going to get a buddy over here, this weekend, to see if we can get the thing installed. I'm kinda tired of the box leaning up against the wall, next to the front door.
