Replacing 4x4 Selector Switch

I know the "service 4X4" topic has been covered numerous times. I've had the message off and on about a week ago, now it's on all the time. reading previous posts, it's most likely the selector switch in the dash. Now, that leads me to my post. I've pulled the dash trim panel off, and actually had the vent/4X4 selector/lights unit pulled out.

 

I for the life of my can't get the electrical connections unplugged off the back of this unit

 

for those who have pulled this out and replaced it. is there any tips or tricks I could use to save myself the insane shop rate at the local dealership? also, can our parts guru verify part number 15136039 as the switch for the autotrac of an 05 silvy?
