Remote Lock For Tonneau Cover

I have a hard tonneau cover on my 01 Z71. It requires two locks to secure it, one on each side. I am wondering if it is possible to add a door lock actuator to the cover along with some form of hardware attached to the locks that would be activated by the truck's remote lock system. I understand that power locks work by reversing polarity. How would I hook it to the current switch. If that fails could a second remote be installed to control the tonneau locks? :smash:

When I bought my Pace Edwards tonneau for my old truck, (5 years ago +) I remember they had electric ones.

Even my non-electric one was really expensive though. It's probably a different design than what you're looking for and I am not even sure about the remote issue.

Place to start reading if nothing else. :smash:

Thanks for the thought. But I am looking to convert manual locks to electric locks controlled by the key fob. I have a Undercover tonneau that does not secure it unless it is locked. Just a hassle to put packages down, fumble with the key, then open and lock again.
