What Do You Guys Think Here ...

Got a crack on the distributor ear, the hole where the cap screws into ... crap, yes I know! This along w/ the intake manifold gasket is killing me here. Anyhow, do I need a new distributor? Or can I epoxy the crap out of her and hopefully it'll work.

If all fails, and I need a new distributor, how can I make sure the timing isn't screwed up? Mark the new one identical to the old?? Yes, the old one was marked before I yanked her out. If I transfer this marking to the new, she should work correct? Assuming the new one is made equal to the old.

Cardone or stick w/ ACdelco? I need to save a few bucks, but don't want any issues either. Ouch this truck is robbing me, ramon noodles for the next year???

I'd really like to see a pic of the crack... but according to your description, I'd say you could either try a repair or simply run a longer screw through and add a nut and lockwashwer to the backside. As long as it'secures the cap you should be good.
