i've always heard gibson described as an "entry level" afermarket exhaust....  go ahead and save a little more and get the flowmaster, you'll be glad you did.

I was thinking about getting that setup for myself because I like the exhaust to exit in front of the rear axle. It looks different because everybody and there brother-in-law has them coming out the back. Down here in Texas we call that the cowboy exhaust kit, two pipes, large tips, one on each side of thre reciever hitch. Let me know how it sounds especially the interior resonance at 70mph, also if you loose any backpressure.

I have a Gibson on my Silverado. I like the Gibson's low end performance over a Flowmaster, but I like the Flowmaster American Thunder kit's sound better. I'm planning to remove the Gibson muffler and put a 40- series Flowmaster in it's place. I'll sacrafice some performace for better sound. With the 4.10's in the rear, low end isn't a big problem for me. In my opinion, the Flowmaster is better on the high end than the Gibson. I had a Flowmaster American Thunder kit on my 98 Z71. I figure the Flowmaster will enhance and balance out my truck's performance. Plus, I'll get that awesome sound.......
