I'm looking for the drain plug on the block, where on earth is it? Does it have one on each side or just one? And where of course lol.

It's a 97 K1500 w/ the 350

Why are you going to bother with a possibly rusty, crusty

block plug in a older GM truck?

Only asking for problems messing with it while its in the

truck your using for a daily driver!

I could see messing with it if your doing a rebuild and its

sitting on the bench in a nice warm shop...............

I don't think there is one on the Gen I (265 - 400) small block. I just looked it up in the shop manual. Just have to remove a freeze plug. All I remember are oil plugs on the block. I think it is the same for the 90* V6's too. Just the later Gen small blocks have them.

I used to have a 1998 with the 350.

When I added the block heater their wasn't an antifreeze drain on the block. I do believe their was a drain on the bottom of the radiator however.

Drained the radiator then punched out a freeze plug for the block heater.

I'm doing the intake manifold gasket due to a leak, thought I'd get the rest of the coolant out in case it's contaminated before

I refill her.
