2007 Yukon Acting Up

Recommended Posts

Posted

Fellos, my yukon is acting up on me. The vehicle dies out after coming to a complete stop (either at a stop sign or red light). After I coast to a complete stop, the vehicle starts after several tries. Now, this only happens after the vehicle is running for most of the day. Once this happens, it dies out quit frequently. My local dealership has checked it out, and they have found nothing wrong. But i know this is not normal. Back in April of this year, my dealership went thru 3 fuel pumps until til the vehicle ran right. Since, the vehicle has had no problems til now. I need help, no one seems to have no idea of what the problem could be.

Next time it dies call the dealer and have them dispatch a tow back there.
I'm with you. If it is still under warranty, then every time it dies, have them come pick it up with a tow truck. That will get expensive real fast for them.

The problem is they'll just have him call GM roadside assistance who will dispatch a tow truck. It won't be on the service department's dime. Try another service department at another dealer or talk to the service manager at your regular spot. If that fails, call GM directly and get in touch with someone higher up the chain.

Have Daddy come and get it! His truck has it's own truck after all.

Dose it studder and then die? Or just shut off like you just turned the key off? In either case I’d run a can of Sea Foam thru your break booster line. I couldn’t hurt and it’s cheap, and you’ll know right away if it worked.

Or try another dealership.

Check your battery terminals. I had that problem and a battery terminal was broken inside the battery and would intermittently loose connection causing the truck to just die. Replacing the battery for me cured it.
