Door Latch Question

i have a 77 gmc sierra and the door latches r shot and i heard that the door latches form some new trucks will work with old ones n my brother happens to have a wrecked 97 chevy and i was wondering if anyone knows if they will work....thanks

20 yrs. difference,I wouldn't count on it.Got to a salvage yard,they might have the exact replacement.Look at my Avatar,does your truck look it?

Different animal entirely. The newest year that directly interchanges is 1987 in trucks and I believe 1990 Blazer or Suburban.

 

I'd give thes guys at LMC a call. They'll have exactly what you need and the prices are pretty fair.
