2001 Silverado Z71 Cabin Air Filter

Can anyone tell me how to access the cabin air filter on a 2001 Silverado Z71 LT? I had to replace the blower motor resistor block and before I screw the bottom shroud back in place I want to replace the cabin air filters. If anyone had pictures of this installation Id greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

throw those filters away and don't install any new ones...

 

they stopped putting them in the trucks and suv's in 2004 I think..

Be careful when removing the screw that holds the cover in place. I ended up breaking off the plastic screw boss when changing mine. Had to glue the thing back to the truck to get the cover to hold shut.
