Guessing 2wd? Only thing your lacking is probably traction. You could get some cheapo rims and mount some stickies on them just for drag racing. Rear end will hold up fine for the current amount of hp you are putting down.

yes it is 2wd but out of 7 runs i only had traction problems on 1 time and still ran 14.3, so traction isn't a problem so wat else do i need to break 13s, thanks

Work on your 60' time. Usually for every .1 tenth you take off your 60' you will lose .2 in the 1/4. I found this about true when I raced the SS alot. Get you 60' down to a 2.0 or lower and you should net a high 13.

wat would be the best thing to do ,you think?

Practice, practice and practice some more. Work on getting your brake hold and launch rpm just right for a quick launch with no bog and minimal spin.

anyone broke 13s in nnbs with bolt ons

not on this site, but there plenty of sierra denali's in the high 13's with just exhaust, CAI, and a good tune.

That can be tough to do with a stock stall. It's hard to get the rpm up enough with the stock stall to leave hard and not bog. The stock convertor was never meant for racing.

Other suggestions to free up a few extra horse power...Headers, electric fans, gears (nothing for hp, but can help your acceleration), stall convertor.

Just a few suggestions. Keep us informed on the progress

how are you launching the truck? Are you holding the brake and raising the revs or just mashing the gas off idle?

It will launch better if you just mash the gas from idle. It will allow the converter to flash and transmit more power to the wheels
