4 Headlight Mod Question For Gm Techs ?

I have a 2006 GMC CC. I have read about the 4 headlight mod. I am talking about the one where you jump a diode between relays in the driver's side fuse box that is located under the hood.

Is it safe ? Alot of people have done it and had no trouble but I wanted to ask some Pro's their advice.

Any other advice on the subject is appreciated.

Not a pro but did this mod over 2 years ago with no problems yet.

Not a pro but did this mod over 2 years ago with no problems yet.
