Hmm..... so basically you want a truck that has a GVWR rating of 11400, but says 9900 on the door plate...............

The DOT would not look too kindly on that  I would guess that if someone looks up the gvwr for the truck and finds our that you are committing fraud you might be in for a bigger ticket.

in reply to the dot they could give a shit what your truck has dual or single all they care about is the gvwr sticker this is not fraud there are conversion kits available and it is not that difficult to convert the kit includes everything that is needed. I would'nt mind getting a cdl but if I hire a driver it is much more difficult to hire one with a cdl. I am just looking for someone who has done this.

No matter how you slice this fruitcake, it's still an attempt to spoof and cheat the system. Grow up and follow the rules. Get a CDL, buy the dually, and forget this stupid stunt.

Then go freakin' do it, quitcher bitchin' here, and get your balls sued off and/or ticketed!

Good luck and have fun, when you run across the officer of the law who DOES know you're trying to cheat the system and DOES enforce the laws -- or maybe doesn't give a flying flip what the DOT thinks, but knows a dually is supposed to be rated at a certain weight, assumes your swapped stickers for reasons he could care less about, but decides to start making tickets up on the side of the road, and hauls you to jail & no telling what else..
