What To Do?

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra Denali with the 6.2L and have some holiday money to buy a performance part for my vehicle.I am stuck between a K&N cold air intake, Diablo predator, or possible exhaust but may be out of price range. I am looking for whatever would give me the best performance increase. Improvement in gas mileage would be nice but is not that important. I have looked into changing the ecm through Wait 4 me tune but that whole deal makes me nervous because i am not overly mechanically inclined. I am leaning towards The diablo predator because i can change the top speed and from what I read on their website take off the tm. Please anyone with advice please give it ASAP because this money is burning a whole in my pocket.

You might think that a 6.2 would have more then enough oomph..

I use a DiabloSport Predator, and I am quite happy with it. It comes with some canned tunes you can just pop into your truck. It saves the original tune on the Predator so if you do something wrong, you can always bring it back to stock. (You will want to bring it back to stock anyway whe it goes for service). It just takes a few minutes to do and you will instantly notice a difference. You can also play with it and try different tweaks out. It is relatively easy to use (just follow instructions) and DiabloSport have a lively forum for your questions. There are even users that are able to make custom tunes for you based on your logfile (they charge for that though, something like 50 bucks)

If you want to connect it to a computer, you will have to buy a separate serial to USB data cable and a power brick. You will then be able to upgrade the firmware and load tunes.

At a later stadium you could consider a CAI and/or a exhaust and tweak the engine again to make it run perfect with the new additions.

Check their website out and visit their forum. Lots of info there.

I have also a K&N Aircharger installed, together with a Corsa exhaust. It also makes a difference but not as much as the Predator. Has a bigger wow factor though. And sound!

Good luck.

Unless something has changed VERY recently, the Predator can not tune the 6-spd transmissions in the Denalis, Escalades, etc. I'm not going to tell you what TO do. But, if you're thinking the Predator is going to get rid of TM on a Sierra Denali, it will not.

Best of luck!

It depends how loud you want your exhaust to be before we can really recommend anything. Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Borla, Corsa, and Gibson are all good exhausts.
