Mirror Change

i recently changed the mirros on my 01 silverado hd from just power glass,to the new style towing mirrors that are heated power glass. the thing is my truck does not have rear defrost so the heat part dont work yet. i was wondering if i could jus tswitch out my heater control unit with one that has a rear defrost button to activate the heated mirrors. or is it not just that easy.

I think before you attempt and wiring, you need to cure that nervous finger!!! WOW

well there isnt anything i can do about the nervous finger. and i only posted this topic once, so maybe its in the server since you said you obviously are having trouble with it, but who knows. any info with my question would be well appreciated though.

thats excatly what I want to do! where did you buy your mirrors? do you have any pics?
