Astro Fuel Pump

I have a 97 astro that has an intermitent starting issue. I could drive this thing for months and for no reason, it would not start (the pump would not prime). I would come back a day or two later and it ran fine again. I was thinking it was a bad fuel pump as it left me stranded on the side of the road a couple weeks ago. I bought a fuel pump rebuild kit and installed the tank, the van took a min to start and the fuel pressure was a bit weak. I tried to drive this thing to work the next day and after an hour the thing shut off again. i had it towed (AGAIN) and pulled the tank, tested with 12v and found out that the new pump no longer worked. Heres where it gets crazy, out of curiosity i tested the old pump (original pump) and it ran so i put the van back to together with the old pump and it ran like a champ again. A day later the same thing no power to the pump, i figure it was probably still bad so i paid +$300 and bought a complete drop in assembly...........................again no power to the pump. I checked the relay (bought a new one), replaced the fuses and still nothing. I checked the relay for power and discovered it is getting power into the relay but apparently there is no signal triggering it to send power to the pump. It had an alarm on it in the past but it no longer works and i have no remote so i completely removed the alarm thinking it was the reason for not allowing a trigger to the relay. NO POWER...............can anyone help me figure out where my problem is.

Ok usely aftermarker alarms are hooked up to the starter but have seen them hooked up to fuel to kill it in the event of it being stolen. Anyways I would double check and remove it completely from the vec. Also, check the ground on the frame be the tank and I would replace the fuel pump connector. Here is a diagham of the fuel deleiver.
