Steering Noise

I just read where someone recommended a new intermediate shaft from dorman. I hadn't heard of that. Is it eliminating the problem altogether? Anyone had one more than 20k miles?

 

Also, I get what sounds like a whining power steering pump on left turns. It's almost like there is a rough spot as i turn left. Fluid is full. Any ideas on that one?

The new shaft from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com took care of it for me. Has been in there for a while and have had zero problems. Part# 19153614.

 

Others say the Dorman shaft works well also.

How many miles have you put on the new shaft? That price is sure a lot better than the one from borgeson mullins.

I have had the new style GM shaft in for over a year with no problems at all.
