Possesed 88 GMC C1500 part2, stalls at idle under load..

Put it in reverse, or sometimes drive, or have the steering wheel turned in any direction at idle , she dies....Idles great any other time...

1) Replaced IAC (much smoother idle now

2) Replaced Cap, Rotor, Plugs

3) Replaced Thermostat for overheating issue

4) Replaced fuel filter and air filter (basic and a given)

5) Cleaned the crud out the Throttle Body

6) Pretty sure I took care of any vacuum leaks..

Does this sound like a Throttle position sensor or a vacuum leak that I Missed somewhere? If I missed something obvious, smack me upside the head and let me know....

Thanks...

Ayee , looks like I'll be busy ...

Found an intake mani gasket leak at the rear , looks like a small head gasket leak as well...And yep , this of course xplains that awesomely nauseating essence smell of burning (vaporizing) coolant..Looks like I'll be busy shortly..

Maybe a good excuse to invest in some new Dart heads, huh..LOL.... Thionk I can sell that idea to my wife??

LOL , yeah Crane cam be real nice in there, after all, the one I have all the lobes have flattened, right??? LOL..

OK, this is funny , never seen it before , but think I found what load is directly causing the issue..

Yes, I have some minor vacuum leaks to take care of...But this morning, in park, drive, or neutral, if I turn the steering wheel, I hear the belt squeal , then rumble, sputter, thump STALL...

I have never seen a power steering pump so wore out that it can stall a 305 , but I guess this is one is that toast....

So this weekend , looks like I'll be swappin out a pump...Go figure... :P
