I had someone give me a part number of what they believe to be their onstar/bluetooth module. The part number is 25965167. However he says that the module did not have a bluetooth symbol and it did not say bluetooth on it. Can anyone tell me what this part number is exactly? I searched gm parts direct and all it says is MODULE. Also, does anyone know the return policy on buying something like this from GM Parts direct?? Any info would be appreciated. If someone can find out I will try to replace my onstar module in my 06 sierra with this and I will push the button and say bluetooth to see if it works.

I have an '09 Silverado and tried pushing the os button on the mirror and saying bluetooth, but nothing happend. If you hold the onstar button down for about 5 seconds, it puts you into a setup mode for language or hands free setup. When you select handsfree setup it says "you don't have the number for that option"

 

Does anyone think if I changed the steering wheel for one with audio controls, I would get audio controls from steering wheel and/or bluetooth function?

If your truck didn't have it from the factory, you probably need an upgraded VCIM and antenna.

The part number is 20830941 or 20782641 that is the vcim module and you will also need the bluetooth antenna part number 15938939 I currently have this in my 06 trailblazer ss,the bluetooth works excellent with my iphone 3g.
