i'm not sure but my guess is it will cost a shit ton of $$$. i also have the good ol' manual transfer case shifter in my SL. wouldn't mind upgrading to the electric set up, but i'm skeptical it's even remotely worth the cost.

edit: added bonus of the manual t-case shifter, we get the ultra kickass gauge cluster indicator light:

Mine has the round switch and its ok . My last 4x4 had it in the floor and if you need 4x4 in a hurry it works good in the floor.Instead of trying to turn that knob. I wouldn't change from one way or the other too much trouble. You got what you got.

Hmm....I didn't know turning a knob was so labor intensive :D

step 1: locate t-case knob

step 2: reach for t-case knob

step 3: pause and strategize for ideal wrist movements

step 4: continue reaching for t-case knob

step 5: rotate t-case knob

step 6: ???

step 7: celebrate a job well done

I always just liked reaching down and throwing the lever back. You forgot to mention rotate knob slowly so you get it in the right spot. While you are trying to get out of a situation. All I am saying is there is advantages to both systems and I wouldn't pay to change from one way or the other.

Wouldnt manual to electric shift mean swapping the whole t-case out, and running all the wires for the electronic shifted one? I doubt autotrac would work on the electric one. I cant see it being worth it. BTW, anyone know how to make that cool 4x4 dash light come on? i would trade my autotrac for a shift on the floor JUST for that light! Kinda like the z71 sticker that adds 25.34 HP!
