AirRaid or K&N

I have a 99' Tahoe w/ 5.7L.

I would like to upgrade the intake, what do you guys recommend? I like the price on the AirRaid system!

Is there really a difference between the AirRaid and K&N? I noticed the Airraid uses a K&N Filter.  Please advise

The K&N kit includes the intake tube, I don't think Airraid offers a tube yet. I know the Volant (closed setup) offers an intake tube.

 

There was a dyno posted that showed a 4.4HP increase with the K&N over the Airraid.

Consider all options.  I just took out my Airaid.  loved the appearance and performance and sound.  HOWEVER,  after washing the truck I opened the hood to wipe down the engine.  I FOUND A PUDDLE in the heat shield box.  Not a huge puddle but enough that I got my tool box and took it out.  Put the OE closed system back in there and I'm now considering a UPD.
