Transfer Case Question?

I Have a 2006 2500HD SLT 6.0L 4L80E Tranny, I have the push button 4x4 and it does not have the autotrac button just your regular 2hi 4hi 4lw, anyways I checked my fluid the other day and its red, so does that mean its just regular atf?? The GM Dealer, told me that i need to buy autotracII fluid for my transfer case and its blue, they say that is the only thing to use. I have read my owners manual and it says to use atf in manual transfer case and autotracII in the automatic(But always lists the autotrac beside the automatic transfer case) Can anyone help me in figuring out what I need for oil so I can change the fluid?

 

If I were to give me VIN number would someone be able to find out what transfer case I have in my truck? Thanks in advance!

You need regular or synthetic DEX6 ATF. Both red, your choice.
