New Faucet!

Well the faucet was more than 20 years old, and it would not shut off any longer, it was the older style with the handle sliding up and down inside the top on a spline and it kept getting hung up on the top of the spline. I could not tighten it any more to keep on the spline, and the sprayer would not spray unless I had the pressure all the way up. I snapped a couple of pics just to show the install of it.

While putting the sprayer together the shiny cap the covers the assembly to hold it down, I was twisting it down onto it and the clearance was very tight, and next thing I know I feel it cut right through the index finger and thumb..so now I am bleeding and the wife says we have no bandaides..damn it.. so I get it to stop bleeding and I am near the end where all I have to do wrap the connections in teflon tape and make the connections, so I grab my tape and sure enough I have only enough to do one connection..damn it! So off to the store I go, its about 9pm, and k-mart is closed and the hardware stores are closed, so I try CVS and Walgreens and Giant Eagle(supermarket), they all have things that need teflon tape to put on(shower heads and like stuff) but no damned tape, so I have to drive like 25 mins away to the hood for the 24 hr walmart where I stand inline twice as long as it took me to go find the teflon tape and bandaides to get checked out.. I hate walmart..but need-less to say I got it hooked up and it works, took the cold water a while set before it stopped leaking but it did...the thing I dont like is the handle is a floppy compared to others I have had, it feels like there no resistance on the handle, before I had it on it just flopped all over the place, I wish it had a little more resistance to it..I took it apart to see if there was a way to adjust but nothing I could see..

you dont know the half of it....no waiting on the damned roofer to get a quote, I called last week and had an appointment for Thursday but they never called, so I dont think they would come out and look with out me, so I will Monday and if they dont get out there I will call someone else, family recommended these guys, so I'll give a shot

there were no fertility drugs so I think octuplets are out...twins do run in family, but my cousin just had a set..

that was with a load in the dishwasher and it was 11 pm after I was done installing it!
