Stock exhaust...Just about every aftermarket muffler sounds like a pissed off bumblebee haha...Magnaflow is supposed to be one of the "quieter" ones...I have a MBRP and it sounds like a whole hive of pissed off bumblebees.

I added a flowmaster (80 series I think it was) to an older v6 olds cutlass I used to have. I bought a single inlet /dual outlet flowmaster specifically designed for v6 f-body camaros and firebirds. And beleive it or not, it DID sound like it had a v8 after adding that muffler. But one thing, that muffler was made to be mounted sideways. It was a crossflow muffler and had the inlet and one of the outlets on one side, and the other outlet on the other side. But it worked in that application because the stock muffler on a cutlass was mounted like that. The stock muffler was mounted sideways above the rear end and the inlet was on the drivers side and outlet was on the passenger side. With the flowmaster, it mounted the same but basically just added an outlet on the drivers side. I would try searching for mufflers specifically made for v6 engines, those are far less likely to sound like a swarm of bees. Do a search on youtube and listen to a few videos to see what they sound like.

i was thinking about a 50 series flowmaster

yeah they dont drone like the other flowmasters but flowmasters still aren't that great. i think the chambered design actually restricts flow and they are made cheaply. get a good straight-through designed muffler...my goerlichs you could see straight through the to holes to the other side!!!
