Looking for opinions assuming by "2 beans" you mean $200...By the time you buy it for $111 and have it painted, won't it cost you $200 anyway?

If you really wanted to save, you could knock out the dent, fill and smooth it, rough up the bumper and paint it white. Same end result but you didn't have to buy a part.

I don't know if the dent can be pounded out?? I figured if i was spending 200 then a new look on the front would be nice. Just wasn't sure how it would look on it. I should get a pick of the dent i have in it. BRB LOL

I should get a pick of the dent i have in it. BRB LOL If you took off your bumper I'd bet the dent could be taken out from the backside. I've done it by laying the face of the bumper (face down) in double thickness cardboard for protection and lightly tapping out the dent using a heavy hammer and a short wood block (to keep from making hammer marks). Don't go crazy and work it out slowly. If careful you can get results that are all but invisible. Post a pic!
pchrist Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Ok here are the pics if you look at the drivers side light you can see a gap that came at the bottom and the passenger is tighter!!!!! Tell me what you think my opts are
Zembonez Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 The right side bracket is bent a little. You can straighten it while you have the bumper off. (needs to be fixed either way) That dent can be taken out from the backside like I described but I don't think all of it will disappear. A little grinding and filling though and it could be painted and look like new. No parts needed except for a tiny amount of plastic filler. I'd do it!

pchrist Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 any ideas what a body shop would charge for something like that??
Zembonez Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 any ideas what a body shop would charge for something like that?? Most shops won't touch dents in chrome bumpers. That would pretty much be a DIY job. If you have any experience doing body work, that dent should be an easy fixer. Then take it and have it painted. I'd say 100 bucks to get it shot should cover it.
GMAnimal Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I fixed a dent in my front bumper and painted it myself. No big deal and that was over 2 years ago. Stil looks great.
