Welcome to my world.... I'm sick of the crap. This year my trucks taken a bad beating... I've got a bunch of stone chips I've got to fix and my wheels didn't fair much better. Pa thinks they need to turn the roads into shale roads everytime snow's in the forecast.

Well, down here in mid-Georgia (100 south of Atlanta), that is damn near a blizzard. :D We got "snow" for about 3 hours this morning, it was my daughter's (6) first time getting to play in snow. We had a good time.

The crazy thing is yesterday, it was 72 degrees! Today, "snow" and a high of 39?!? Now, the snow has stopped, rain has begun, snow has melted, and everything is a muddy mess.

We just had 6" or so inches here in the Twin Cities...most of which fell in 2.5 hours. It took myself and my ambulance crew over an hour to go 10 miles back to our station. And 90% of that drive was on freeway...where we were going 25 MPH. You couldn't see more than 4-6 car lengths in front of you and there was 2-3" of snow on the road.

When we got back, my Silverado and I had some fun in the snow. 4WD was fun...but I was amazed at how well the G80 did in the snow. Even in the deep parking lot snow...with no weight in the back and factory tires, the G80 was hard to slow down. I was truly amazed...mainly because I am used to the limp-wristed limited slip differentials that Ford uses.

In 4-hi, it seems like my truck was unstoppable.

Yep, this was Thursday afternoon. It took me 3 hours to go 10 miles. My 16 mile commute took me 3:15. It started out as freezing rain, then 6" of snow on top of ice...not good.

I like snow/winter, but that SUCKED!

We're expecting 7''-14" tonight on CT. Next year i'm getting a plow for the truck. I'm sick of the snow blower crap.

We never got the freezing rain here in the Twin Cities...just the snow...which I am thankful for.

Where in the Twin Cities? My drive home was from St Paul (near 94/280) to the East Metro and it was glare ice under the snow.

Cottage Grove/Woodbury.

In Cottage Grove, we had no rain what-so-ever. It just started to snow.

And when I cleared my Grandma's driveway in Lake Elmo, there was just bare concrete under the snow...no ice.

Not sure about here in Woodbury, but in St Paul it rained first for a little while.

You live in Cottage Grove?
