Headers For 2003 2500hd

Hi everyone, new to the forum.

 

Looking at getting some Edelbrock headers (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...406+4294840099+) and just wondering how it will affect power and sound. Like how much more horsepower or torque to expect. I currently have 2 imco muffles for dual exhaust but everything else is stock. Any feedback would help. Thanks.

does anyone here have headers on a 6.0 motor?

I put headers on my 1995 Chevy 2500 and I hated it. I think I lost power, and I was always chasing leaks. Eventually I pulled the headers back off and put my stock manifolds back on. Oh yea, that truck had the 5.7 motor in it.

have edelbrock shorty headers on my 01 hd 6.0liter gmc. works great maybe alittle extra power. have had zero leaks. need to make sure you check the header bolts after first 100miles, then recheck. after that never checked again and no problems.

I agree with matsrat. I too put shorty headers on my 03 6.0 and I love it. No leaks. The collector gaskets are crap though... Id recommend getting some good quality ones to go there if you can find them.
