I actually have a Rapid Prototype part sitting on my desk at work that was made with a 3D Printer. It is a prototype model of what is currently in the process of being injection molded, Now I can design the tooling for holding it in the machine while they are designing and building the molds for it.

I've done some cleanup on 3d modems built in a 3d studio max and maya that were sent to a 3d printer. Very cool process, but HOLY CRAP it's a pain in the ass to get the models ready for that.
