i was pulling stumps out of the ground and my cable snapped and put a huge hole and bent mine. truck is stealth grey. but if you have another color that is fine if it's a good price. if not i'll just turn it in to my insurance company

That sucks! A tailgate new is not cheap when you include assembly and paint.

i know my father owns a body shop in n.y. and i live in bama (that sucks). plus it destroyed the handle, but i think the lock is inside of it. i'll have to open her up like a can of sardines to get it out and check it. at least the emblems are still good. yeah i saw one on ebay it was almost as bad as mine and new ones are 500. then throw in paint and the rest of the pieces i need and i might as well use my insurance. 500 deductible. plus if i have to go that route i'll have them fix where i was sideswipped and a small crease was put in my fender. that repair job will cost more than the tailgate
