Need Your Opinions: Tire And Wheel Help!

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, kind of new here, always browsing but only made one post.

Anyway, I am looking at tires and wheels and am torn between 18x9 wheels or 20x9 wheels. I'm leaning toward the Moto Metal 951 with 33x12.50R18 Toyo MTs as I like a little more tire showing than wheel. But also like the 20x9 Eagle Alloy series 079 I would also put the Toyo MT's on these. What do you guys think?. I have a 2" RC Leveling Kit, so from what I have read they both shold fit with little or no trimming. Not sure yet on the offset for the eagle alloys but for the Moto Metal, I would go with the +18 or +30 off set. The +18 should only stick out about a half inch correct? as I am not a big fan of tires sticking out real far (just my personal option and not trying to offend anyone)

Let me know your opinions. I have posted pics below. I since have debaged the whole truck (Daddy). And will soon be painting the Grille Bowtie Black.

I suppose the 20's are for those that want to profile up and down the boulevard. But, if off roading utility is the use, I'd go with 18s. 20's look all gangsta to me.

That was my take, I like the offroad look although i pretty much use it for city driving. Any one have pics of Moto Metal 951 18x9 with +18 offset, I want to see an angle of how far they stick out of the fenders, I don't want anything more that a half inch sticking out.

25.4mm = 1 inch........that concludes our metric lesson for today.....

Fixed.

Leave it to an engineer. :D

Sounds like you are going for the off-road look/performance. I would go with the 18's for sure. My opinion, anything over an 18" wheel belongs on a lowered truck.
