Clunking In Front End

Recommended Posts

Posted

I did search, and didnt find anything on what my truck is doing. When I hit the brakes, it makes a pretty wierd clunk/pop noise, and it does it like 5 times until stopped. I only notice it from 5-0 Mph. It sometimes does it starting out, and it will do it every now and then over a bump. Its not the steering shaft clunk, I can hear this in the cab from the front. Is this ball joints? Its a quick set of clunks. I dont really notice it turning so much so im not sure if its ball joints or what it is. I thought it was the brake pistons at first so I lubed them up, but it still does it, and it will creak, clunk pop, its annoying and im getting tired of hearing it, any insight?
