03 2500hd Wheel Sensors

Scan data code is C0035 L Front wheel speed sensor. Resistance is 200 Mohms and should be 1 Kohms.

How do I fix this? Replace the lead and sensor that bolts into the hub, or replace the whole hub as recommended by dealer, at huge cost.

i usually replace the whole hub... but thats what the dealer wants so.. ive changed a sensor because the wire got damaged... but... the ring the sensor reads off could be damaged. its kinda ur decision on how much you wanna spend really. how many miles are on the truck?

There are 75,000 M on the truck. It has a six inch lift and the wire for the sensor has seen a bit of a rough life from rubbing but not right through.

The bearings in the hub are tight.

How could the toothed ring that the sensor reads off get damaged inside?
