Hey,

I have a white 2008 Sierra All Terrain extended cab. I am just wondeing the publics opinion on the following. I plan on removing the Z71 stickers followed by eveything on the tailgate, the GM chicklets, and the Sierra on the door. The real question comes with the molding. I honestly am not a fan of the molding. I am pretty crazy about keeping things clean but the molding always looks like the wrong color, a bit yellowed, and is a pain to keep clean. My fear comes with leaving the door having no protection. I am wondering what you guys think.

Should I keep the molding, go completely shaved, or add the escalade molding.

I know my opinion won't match-up with some people's on here, but...

MY opinion is that taking too much off makes the trucks look too plain. I would leave at least the moldings, if not the Sierra on the doors, too. I like some adornments, though.

Post pics when you're done with whatever you decide to do! :D

I'd leave 'em all! The only GM badge I haven't been a fan of is that tiny GM logo they put on some vehicles at the lower portion of the front fenders. The rest are great.

The only time I'd consider debagding is if the vehicle is seriously modded and custom. You know, custom bumpers, grill, lowered/raised, serious power and handling mods, interior, etc. And I'd never recommend taking body parts from another GM vehicle. That's never felt right to me. :D I'd go with something custom and unique if I was going to replace those parts.

Either way, as Michael said, pics are required.

I would at least keep the molding for the dent protection. I know it saved me yesterday when I opened the door on my other truck and hit my sierra... :D But in the end it was all ok because of the molding

I'm not a fan of the GMT900s without side moldings. I liked the previous generation without, but I think the 900s look way too plain without...IMO.

Stop short of the molding and you'll have it looking perfect! With no real body lines on these trucks the moldings really need to stay. They just look rather plain without them.

I like it completely shaved or at the most a little landing strip.

Ah, yes...the hardwood floor is always a winner...as well as a small area rug.
