Tuning Soon

Okay guys. This question is for all you 6.0 guys who have had a Blackbear tune installed on their truck.

Having my truck tuned in Pittsburgh in May, I was wondering what you guys have had Justin do to your trucks so I can get ideas of what I should have him do to mine.

The only upgrade I've done so far is an Airaid CAI. I'm thinking of a Magnaflow muffler later.

Thanks in advance.

From what I've read, the exhaust should be the first thing and the CAI the second. I did it in the same order as you can can tell a HUGE difference with the exhaust. I'm also meeting Justin on May 1st and can't wait to see what he can do.

I had my tune from Charlie Wheatley, but here is what I told him to do:

1. remove the 75% of the torque Mgnt & Engine Mgnt(upped the timing)

2. remove the speed limiter until 130mph

3. give me a 89 Octane Performance tune

4. I still need to tow up to 10,000lbs so it needs to still be able to work like a HD

After that he made the truck really wake up and now it runs great and has great throttle response, and flat out goes (for a 6000lbs truck!).

That's exactly what I'm looking at doing...I tow occasionally, too and I also want him to clean up the shifting and de-activate the Active Fuel Management, it's worthless here in W.Va.

Did you do anything else? i.e. exhaust/intake

There's been numerous posts on what many guys have tuned for. If you don't have an intake/exhaust installed at the time of the tune, just tell Justin what you are going to do in the near future and he can put an "assumption" into the tune.
