Front Bumper Rust Through

I was reading through the postings of 03 where people were talking about their front bumpers rusting from the back side. It appears now that the rust has come through the surface on my 03 Serria pickup. The dealer says its surface rust caused by stone chips, but it's right in front of the passengers wheel and there is no dings or dents in the surface. You can see the rust from the back side as well. Has anyone else seen this and has anyone helped them with it. I have about 66,000 on the truck.

I would talk to the dealership, and if need be ask around to other GM dealerships and see if they can't help you out. With only 60K on the truck I don't think its outta the the rust warranty. The front bumpers do not have a "coating" on them and causes them to rust quite bad. I saw this on my 2001 Suburban, and for me I caught it early and was able to take the bumper off, clean it up, and then coated the back of it with some bedliner stuff, and it head up great. Here's what my build sheet said for my 2005 Silverado in regards to warranties. I cut out the ones about federal emissions. The second one below says "sheet metal" so I wonder if that includes the bumpers?
