Gmt900 Leveling Kit?

Does the leveling kits just refer to the front end? Or are there any components introduced to the rear? Also, are they all the same amount of lift? pros & cons? Lastly, is there anything special with the RC - rough country?

I've seen some neat looking trucks w/ these 'leveling kits' on this website. I would like to know a little more detail before diving in.

I just ordered a 2" drop for the rear with DJM shackles. My dad has a 4wd and he lifted the front with a spacer to allow for bigger tires. Its a matter of preference. Either way looks a lot better than factory.

No not all leveling kits are the same. I know RC makes a good one that most of us have on our trucks. They also make a 3 in lift wich is a 3 in the front and a 1.5 in the back. It gives you a little more clearance and also gets ride of that 2 in drop in the front.

They are not all quite the same. Some are front only, some come with or encourage the use of a larger block in the rear. There are a few good brands out there. If you try a search on leveling kits you may find a lot of information and opinion on different brands from some people who already have them.

There really are not any cons to leveling the 900 series trucks IMO.

Unless you start stacking leveling kits :dunno:

I bought a 2-3" Tough Country (from Rocky Mountain Suspension) for cheap that includes a front billet spacer, and a rear add-a-leaf, I'll let you know how it is soon.....hopefully
