viperhabib Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I removed the rear door panels from my 08 Sierra Crew Cab SLE to tint the windows. I don't think I'm installing them correctly. The fronts kind of clip over the rubber that's against the window. They are fine, but on the back they are loose at the top. When I go over railroad tracks they rattle. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Travis
cm5 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 you may have broken the clip there. if you did, u can replace it for $$ or remove the broken pieces so it doesnt rattle. also make sure all clips fastened into the door as well.
viperhabib Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 I took everything apart again. I guess the rubber isn't supposed to be pushed down all the way? I left each end up just enough to keep the panel from moving, but most of it in the center is pushed down. Nothing is broken, and the windows and door still operate the way they're supposed to.
C. Charles Hahn Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Silly question, but why did you remove the door panels to install tint? The shop that did my tints didn't have to take anything off at all.....
